Progressive Black Men, Incorporated
University of Florida Chapter

Sebastian Joinville
Class Twenty-Five
“The pain of regret is far worse than the pain of discipline."
Sebastian wanted to join Progressive Black Men, Incorporated because he believes in creating spaces where Black men can grow into leaders, not just survive. Growing up, he didn’t always see role models who looked like him in leadership or academic spaces. PBM’s mission of uplifting the community and developing brotherhood stood out as more than just words, it was a vision he wanted to be part of. Since joining, Sebastian has focused on giving back through mentorship, service, and speaking up for students who don’t always feel heard.
